Where do you source your fish?
We buy as much day-boat fish as is possible from all over the UK, particularly Devon, Cornwall, Shetland and regularly purchase catches from Poole, Lymington, Christchurch and Brighton.
Exotic fish are purchased from countries such as Sri Lanka and The Maldives, adding to our exciting daily offering.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum order (within reason)
How often do you deliver?
95% of our customers receive a 6 day delivery service.
Can we order after office hours?
We have an answer phone service, as well as an order online option. (When ordering fresh fish please state prep, Size and Number required.)
Can I order fresh/live shellfish on the answer phone?
This is not advisable as we only hold limited shellfish for this type of order. To ensure availability it is best to order during the day, particularly so at weekends. We will have lobster/ crab holding tanks soon which will increase the amount of live fish we can stock.
Are there any negatives about leaving my order on the answer phone?
Availability would be the biggest issue but we do try and keep everything possible in stock. We sell fish all day and the cut off time from the fish market is 1-30/2-00pm. To keep up to date with daily specials, it’s best to talk to someone in our office.
Can I request a specific delivery time?
Unfortunately no, due to increasing answerphone orders and demand, but we will always do our best to help our customers where we can.
Can you give me fixed price for fresh fish during the menu cycle?
It can be done because farmed fish is pretty static in price for a given period of time, but currency markets do dictate some of the prices. Anything wild-caught is market price driven. We also need to take into consideration bad weather, landing quantities and fuel costs. Please call us if you require a fixed price and we will see what we can do.
How do I benefit by speaking to your telesales team?
You will benefit in numerous ways, for example finding out about special deals, availability, what fish is due in locally, and finding out about any shortages so that you can order in advance and confirm the price, giving peace of mind.
Can you give me exact portion costs for the fresh fish items?
We can work out the portion cost for you on most things. For products such as turbot and brill we recommend that we fillet them for you so that you can then cut the portion to the size required without losing any of the fish.
What happens when you make an enquiry with us?
Tony White, our Sales Director, or one of his experienced sales team will make contact with you as soon as possible (at your convenience) to discuss your specific needs.
All fresh products are bought on a daily basis and prepared to the customer's exact specification upon request.
