Fresh Room Manager

Premier Fish is based in Downton, near Salisbury. We are a seafood company and are currently seeking a full time Fresh Room Manager to join our team.

Job description

As the Fresh Room Manager, you’ll be leading the team and overseeing the individuals responsible for preparing and managing the fresh fish. The quality of our fish is a key part of our reputation and success over the past 25 years. This role is a vital part of the team.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing fresh fish to order to meet the specification requirements of our customers

  • Ensure all stock being loaded or unloaded matches the relevant paperwork / load plan

  • Ensure the accurate movement of stock into and out of the warehouse

  • Packing and palletising of products for despatch

  • Products to be produced and packed in a fast-paced environment

  • Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy working environment

  • Transfer frozen goods in to correct location within freezer stores

  • Ensure that good stock rotation is practiced at all times (Including frozen)

  • Freeze down rejected products once they have been signed off

  • Perform inter warehouse transfers

Requirements

  • Ability to lead confidently in a high demand environment

  • Hygiene, food safety and food management experience is essential

  • Located within easy access in own car to Downton and surrounding areas

  • Experience of working with fresh fish is essential

  • Flexible, positive, and proactive attitude

  • Must be a team player but able to work independently

  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure

Salary & benefits

This role will attract a highly competitive salary, with benefits.

You will be entitled to 20 days holiday and company pension scheme.

You will be required to work 45 hours per week, 10pm to 8am from Sunday night through to Friday morning. Hours may vary depending on economic needs of the business.
