Retail Manager – Fishmonger Shop in Salisbury

As the Retail Manager at our new high street fishmonger shop, you’ll be part of a new and exciting venture to launch a traditional fishmonger on Fish Row in Salisbury.

Backed by the Premier Fish team, you’ll have extensive support and many years of experience to help you maximise this fantastic retail opportunity.

​

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Being part of the team to oversee the launch of this new retail outlet.

• Day to day management and leadership of a small team.

• Ensure the accurate management of fresh, frozen and ambient stock

• Preparing and packing orders for customers, including some fish preparation.

• Maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy working and retail environment

• Ensure that good stock rotation is practised at all times

• Building a reputable business to supply the public with delicious seafood

 

Requirements

• Some basic knife skills, these could be as a chef with a genuine passion for seafood

• The role could suit an experienced, sociable chef looking to move away from the kitchen environment

• Excellent people skills, this role will involve dealing with the public and building an outstanding reputation for service and quality

• Good management and leadership skills to help recruit and build a team

• High standards of presentation and packing

• Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure

• Able to perform tasks accurately and productively

• Strict adherence to health and safety

• Flexible, positive and proactive attitude

• Must be a team player but able to work independently

• Located within easy access in own car to Salisbury

Salary & benefits

The salary for the role starts at £28,500 depending on experience and will also have a performance related bonus.

You will be entitled to 20 days holiday and company pension scheme.

​

This role is to support retail hours and is anticipated to be Tuesday to Saturday.

​
